About Pulang Lupa Historical Monument
The Pulang Lupa Historical Monument in Torrijos, Marinduque, is a sacred memorial marking the site of one of the most significant Filipino victories during the Philippine-American War.
On September 13, 1900, Filipino revolutionary forces led by Lt. Col. Maximo Abad successfully ambushed and defeated a superior American detachment. This historic battle remains a symbol of Marinduqueño bravery and patriotism.
