Popular Filipino actor Zaijian Jaranilla shared details of his peaceful getaway in his home province of Boac, Marinduque.
Filipino actor Zaijian Jaranilla recently shared pictures of his getaway in Boac, Marinduque. His father, Zenon Louis Jaranilla, hails from the province. Zaijian frequently visits to escape busy Manila schedules. He calls the island his favorite travel destination.
The actor posted photos on a motorized banca. He enjoys swimming in the sea and loves the simple lifestyle. Local residents spotted him relaxing around the capital town of Boac. Boac features Spanish-era heritage houses and the historic Boac Cathedral built in 1792.
Visitors can reach Boac from Metro Manila by traveling to Lucena City in Quezon province. From there, ride a Roll-on/Roll-off (RoRo) ferry from Dalahican Port directly to Balanacan Port in Mogpog, Marinduque. Although Marinduque Airport exists in neighboring Gasan, commercial flights remain suspended, making the sea route the primary gateway to the province.
Local tourism offices report steady interest in cyclo-tourism and cultural visits. Zaijian's visit highlights the island as a peaceful sanctuary for travelers seeking rest.
