The joint taekwondo teams of Minido Martial Arts and Gasan Wildcats Claw hauled 16 medals in Torrijos, earning a courtesy call with Mayor James Lim.
The joint sports teams of Minido Martial Arts and Gasan Wildcats Claw Taekwondo Club triumphed at the 3rd Torrijos Taekwondo Tournament on May 23, 2026. The athletes hauled a total of 16 medals, including 5 gold, 8 silver, and 3 bronze medals. This stellar performance demonstrated the growing caliber of youth martial arts in Gasan.

On May 27, 2026, Gasan Mayor James Lim hosted a courtesy call to personally congratulate the athletes. During the meeting, Mayor Lim commended the team's discipline and dedication, highlighting their role in bringing pride to the municipality. The local government of Gasan and the Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (MDRRMO) provided financial support and transportation logistics for the tournament.
Just one day prior to the tournament, on May 22, 2026, the clubs celebrated a joint Taekwondo Promotion Day. Facilitated by Senior Master Shiela Whyn Tarray and Trainer Edwin Maming, the promotion saw ten students advance from White to Yellow Belt. Two students progressed to High Yellow Belt, while Andrea Kate Estrella achieved promotion from Blue Belt to Red Belt. Training continues at Minido Martial Arts and Gasan Wildcats Claw as athletes aim for higher ranks.
